Comment: After graduation I stayed in Asheville until July of 68, then I traveled with my husband at the time Gary Robinson who was in the Marine Corp. We lived from Camp Lejeune to Camp Pendleton, I came back to Asheville with our daughter while he was in Vietnam. After he was discharged we stayed in Asheville till he graduated from Western Carolina. We then moved to SC and then to Virginia. In 1981 we moved to Rutherford County. In 1986 Gary and I separated and divorced. In 1993 I married Randy and have had a very blessed life. I have 2 daughters and a stepson and daughter, we have a wonderful blended family. We have 7 grandchildren from the ages of 3 to 25 and I couldn't be happier. I retired 3 years ago and now have a small business where I make wreaths and flower arrangements.

Comment:      I have not moved around at all since 1967.  I still live within a quarter mile of the home where I grew up.  While I have traveled some, I have not moved my home.


     I worked with Square D Company from 1968 thru 2005, when the manufacturing facility relocated to Mexico.  During my career I worked in clerical positions, as Manufacturing Engineer, and as Manufacturing Supervisor.  After Square D closed, I worked for a manufacturing company in Arden as Quality Manager.


      Retiring in 2010, I honestly do not know how I had time to work.


     My son, Chad, is an Engineer with the Asheville Fiire Department.  He and his wife, Karrie, and three granddaughters, Bailey, Emily, Maggie, live in the West Asheville area.  I am blessed to have them close by so we can spend a lot of time together.


     I now enjoy volunteering with church, non-profit organizations, and community activities.  Life is good.
