Comment: I went to work at First Citizens Bank.  In 1969, I married Wm. Gerald King.  We have three sons, Greg, Kevin and Brandon.  I have eight grandchildren.  I live on Jenkins Valley Road and have lived in the area for the last fifty years.

  • Attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg Va out of highschool, graduating in 1971.


  • Moved to Memphis TN to play pro-basketball after graduating Va Tech, playing in the American Basketball Association/ABA  from 1971-1973.


  • Moved to France from 1973-1984, playing professional basketball in the European Professional League in France. 


  • Returned to Asheville in 1984 and worked in real estate and developement until 2008.


  • Presently working in real estate property management.


  • Married my best friend Sally Iannazzone who is an RN and Yoga instructor and we currently live in the Enka/Candler area.


  • I have one son, Tony King and his wife Anita who have given us 3 beautiful grand children - they live in the Weaverville area.


  • I am also lucky to have two step children Danielle Dulken (Carborro, NC) and Michael Dulken (West Asheville).

Comment: Went to AB Tech.  Moved to Greensboro, NC and was drafted in the Army.  Returned to Greensboro and my wife, Marsha Covil.


 


Transferred to Memphis, TN for 2 years and then to Wilmington, NC for 21 years. 


 


We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. 


 


Transferred back to Greensboro in 2001.


 


Worked in Sales.  Retired from L. A. Benson Company after 34 years.  Retired from the NC National Guard – 21 years.


 


Currently live in Greensboro.

Operated Mike’s Auto Parts 1974-2001.  Closed business and moved to Seneca, SC.  I live on lake Keowee and worked in Auto Parts in Clemson, SC until I retired in 2015.

Moved to Oklahoma in 2010 and currently in the process of moving to Tennessee.
