William "Bill" Marion Meadows, 62, of Starnes Cove Rd., died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at his residence. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of Margaret Elizabeth Meadows and of the late George Franklin Meadows. He was the owner of Bill Meadows Cabinets and Countertops for 35 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of VFW Post 891. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Meadows; daughters Ashley Paige Wells of Candler, and Julie Diana Meadows and fiancee Rob Troms of Asheville; a son, William Marion Meadows, II and his wife, Sedonna, of Asheville; grandchildren Drake Wells, Zev Mills, and Sierra Mills; a sister, Judy Meadows Gibbs of Weaverville; and brothers Paul Meadows of Canton, Tommy Meadows of Leicester, and Kenneth Meadows of Leicester. A private graveside service will be held in the Bell United Methodist Church Cemetery, with a prayer said Mr. Bobby Robinson. Pallbearers will be Rob Troms, Bobby Ferguson, Colby Setzer, Mark Hightower, Brannon Stamey, Jerry Robinson, and Bobby Robinson. His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
