Gail Surrett House, 71, of Asheville, NC, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Mission Hospital. 

Gail was born in Buncombe County, NC on April 17, 1949 to the late Burgin Surrett and Gertha Moore Surrett. She grew up in Sandy Mush, NC. For the last 38 years, Gail was a tax professional with H&R Block Tax Advisors. She was also a telephone operator for Southern Bell in the early 1970s and was head custodian at Haw Creek Elementary School in the early 1980s. Gail loved her work as a tax professional and adored her clients. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.



Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years, Roger D. House of Asheville; a daughter, Lisa House of Asheville; a sister, Brenda King and husband Weldon of Maiden, NC; and four granddaughters, Halie House, Cambrian House, Madison House, and Mariah Delgado.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
